P M Buhari sends message to new CAN President
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday saluted Archbishop Daniel Okoh, General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church (Odozi-Obodo), on his political race as the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Buhari’s celebratory message was contained in an explanation by his media helper, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Friday in Abuja.
As per him, the appointment of Okoh by the vital Christian body is a demonstration of his dedication to the congregation of God in the nation and then some, recognized occupation as a Christian chief, and standing obligation to advancing ecumenism and between confidence exchange.
While recognizing the job CAN has played in cultivating strict solidarity and agreement, Buhari accepted that the approaching CAN president would keep on giving the required authority to the congregation, attesting the scriptural truth: ”That they all might be one.” (John 17:21a)
Buhari, who had affectionate recollections of his cooperations with the CAN administration, said he esteemed the direction and profound commitments of Christian pioneers to country working by empowering, exhorting, fortifying, revising, and reprimanding those in power.
The President supplicated that the residency of Okoh in this new period of service would be set apart with progress, encouraging the alliances that made up CAN to mercifully give the pastor each required help to succeed.
Buhari likewise wished the active President, Rev Dr Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, all the best in his profound and common undertakings.
