Gunmen Kidnap Six Female Footballers In Edo, Demand N30million
Unidentified shooters have abducted six female footballers in Uronigbe, Orhiomwon Local Government Area of Edo State.
The female footballers were hijacked on Friday night at the bordertown among Edo and Delta State while getting back from a football competition at Owa-Alero in the Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, Tribune reports.
A source from the territory, who affirmed the episode, said that the abductors had reached the groups of the people in question, requesting an amount of N5million deliver each for the people in question.
The Delta State Police Command has affirmed the occurrence, while the Edo State Police said they were at this point to have the report of the episode.
“They (footballers) went to Owa-Alero to play a football match. Coming back, they were hijacked at the Uronigbe region, the limit among Delta and Edo expresses,” the source unveiled.
