Call off this strike, I’m on my knees — Fayose’s aide, begs ASUU
Lere Olayinka, a House of Representatives up-and-comer, Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2, Saturday, went kneeling down to ask the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to call of the strike activity left upon north of 7 months.
Lere Olayinka said his activity doesn’t mean he doesn’t see the value in the requests of ASUU, however said he is sure that when the PDP have a govt in the country, the requests will be tended to. Priest of State for Education, Festus Keyamo, SAN, at a meeting on Channels TV said “the Academic Union is holding the public authority at the Jugular and can’t not drive the national government into getting”, an explanation that has drawn wide reactions against the Buhari’s clergyman from Nigerians.
Responding, Lere Olayinka went kneeling down to ask ASUU to call of the strike saying since Keyamo said the Buhari government has lost all feeling of obligation to end the strike and has said it is the obligation of Nigerians to ask ASUU.He said” I am on my twisted knees earlier today, arguing as a parent that this strike in our colleges ought to end.
“My request is prefaced on the admission of the Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Festus Keyamo (I won’t address him as a SAN on the grounds that a SANship is tied in with having sense), that the Buhari’s APC govt doesn’t have or have lost each feeling of obligation to end the strike.Lere further said, “Keyamo, on Live TV yesterday, expressed that on the strike, the FG has become defenseless, miserable, dumbfounded, visionless and aimless.”
“Consequently, it has now turned into the obligation of Nigerians to ask ASUU to end the strike.”Consequently, for the sake of God, I am kneeling down asking ASUU to cancel the strike so our kids can get back to school.”
The PDP Reps Candidate noticed that, “It is not necessarily the case that I don’t see the value in the requests of ASUU, yet I am certain that when we have a govt in the country, the requests will be tended to.”
“All the more so the strike NO even KONSAN those in this Buhari’s APC government in light of the fact that their kids are either in colleges abroad or confidential colleges in Nigeria.
