Over 1,500 Fake Workers Discovered In Nigerian Civil Service Under Buhari Government
National Government has suspended the compensation of 3,000 government employees who neglected to introduce themselves for verification.The Nigerian government has recognized more than 1,500 specialists who introduced counterfeit letters of work to its check council.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan, uncovered this at the “Public Policy Dialog on Entrenching Transparency in Public OfficeA Recruitment in Nigeria” coordinated by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission in Abuja.
Yemi-Esan said the Federal Government has suspended the compensation of 3,000 government employees who neglected to introduce themselves for confirmation.
She said the confirmation practice is to destroy phony and illicit enlistment in government organizations.
“In some cases in March of 2021, this office informed the ICPC that there were a lot of phony letters of arrangements flowing in the services,” the common assistance boss said.
“At that specific time, we found that in only a solitary service, there were north of 1,000 people bearing phony letters of arrangements. Furthermore, they were at that point selected on the finance.
“The Office of the Head of Service got another report, this time from the Federal Civil Service Commission itself, sending names of north of 500 people in different MDAs that have counterfeit letters of arrangements.”
