Keke rider steals customer’s bags of salt and rice
A 38-year-old business tricyclist (Keke rider), Musa Sani, was docked in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court for purportedly taking 15 packs of salt and six sacks of rice having a place with his client.
The litigant, who lives in Lagos Street, Kaduna, is accused of two counts of break of trust and theft.The Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Chidi Leo, let the court know that the respondent committed the supposed offense on March 18 at Kawo Market Kaduna.He asserted that the litigant took 15 packs of salt and 6 sacks of rice worth N243,000 having a place with Hussaini Liman, the complainant.
The examiner let the court know that the complainant paid the litigant to convey the things to the engine park yet he redirected the products to an obscure destination.The offense, he said, negates the arrangements of areas 234 and 271 of the Penal Code of Kaduna State 2017.
The litigant, nonetheless, argued not blameworthy to the charge.The Magistrate, Mr Ibrahim Emmanuel, truly the respondent bail in the amount of N200,000 with two guarantees in like aggregate.
He said that the guarantees should be productively utilized, and ought to show proof of assessment installment to the Kaduna State government to the court’s enlistment center.
