I Will Ban Ponmo & Parents Writing Homework For Their Kids Ebuka Reveals
Media character and previous Big Brother Naija housemate, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has uncovered what he would do when he turns into the President of Nigeria.
The dad of two took to his Twitter page to talk on his next line of activity as the President of Nigeria, assuming that will at any point happen sometime in the future.
“Gotta make it illegal for parents to help their children with homework when I become President. Let me rest. Right after I ban ponmo.” He wrote.
His tweet got a few answers from his supporters who concurred with him with respect to guardians assisting their kids with home work.

“Why do they have to give home work when the lesson was taught at school? What exactly are we paying teachers for, isn’t it to teach them, why the shift of responsibility?, @PaulShedrack.

“How do you measure what the child has learnt? Homework may not be the best way to measure it but the standard way in our educational system. Education is a student -teacher – parent affair. How would you contribute to your child’s learning if you don’t know what he’s taught?”

“Homework is done for reinforcement. Ideally, whatever is given as homework should have been explicitly taught and understood in class. The part done at home should be simple and can be solved by the child. Its a process called reinforcement of learning.”
