Nigerian Government Meets Lecturers’ Union, ASUU After 52 Days Of Strike

As per Punch, the gathering which is booked to begin by 5pm today will have in participation delegates of the Federal Government and ASUU.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, will on Monday have a gathering with the Nigerian Government through the Minister of Labor and Employment, Chris Ngige, over the continuous modern activity.

A notification sent by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Labor and Employment, Patience Onuobia, noticed that Ngige would seat the gathering himself.
“The Minister for Labor and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, will meet with the Academic Staff Union of Universities today by 5pm,” the notification read.
In the mean time, the continuous modern activity by ASUU entered today 56th day (Monday).
The association is right now protesting over the disappointment by the Federal Government to respect the different arrangements came to with them.
